Sándor Udvarvölgyi graduated from the Faculty of Transport Engineering, at the Technical University of Budapest in 1993 and earned an MBA degree in finance and economics in 2001. He started his logistics career at Procter & Gamble in 1995. In 1996, he joined Avon Cosmetics Hungary as Head of Distribution and was later promoted to Distribution Manager for South and Central Europe. In 2001, he was appointed to Operations Group Manager for Central Europe. Prior to joining Wincanton he managed Tesco’s Fresh Food Distribution Centre.Commenting on the announcement Ryszard Warzocha, Wincanton’s Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe, and the interim MD of Hungary over the last few months, said: “I am delighted to hand over the management of Wincanton’s Hungarian operation to Sándor Udvarvölgyi, a recognised expert with comprehensive logistics skills, vast international experience and wide-ranging competences in FMCG logistics.”Commenting on his appointment Sándor Udvarvölgyi said: “Wincanton’s future strategy in Hungary remains unchanged: we will continue to focus on customer acquisition and outstanding customer service.
